Sue Atkinson was born in Bradford and is the daughter of a Bradford wool merchant. She studied at Wakefield College of Art.
Her pictures are charming and magical in quality and are in great demand. She expresses her obvious love and enthusiasm for nature through her art and the people and landscapes she portrays. She is a natural people watcher and her enthusiasm for their antics shines through in her often amusing figure painting.
Sue has exhibited at The Royal Academy, The New English Art Club, The Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour, The Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Singer Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour competition.
